"I hate to give bad reviews which effect local business, but unfortunately Empire East has either gotten too "cocky" with whatever they do or simply stopped caring about running their business. The Prices are very overpriced, I usually don't complain if the portion and quality size make up for a higher than usual price, but the portion size is actually smaller than many nearby places that do a much better service at preparing the food. Empire East became a factory, no longer is it a neighborhood restaurant which serves good food, today Empire East is simply a well known take out restaurant which focuses on sending more orders out instead of preparing good food and gaining a customer base. The reason for the one star is simple: Overpriced, Small Portioned, Decent Service but absolutely nothing out of the ordinary. Either increase portion size or decrease the price and I will be gladly to increase the star rating to 3 or even 4 if the quality increases."

"While thier food is great They can really LOWER their prices. They have expanded the menu and it is delicious, however, i am forced to go elsewhere cause it's just TOO much. What's sad is the owners do not care as they have a good business. Last week I called and told them i had a old coupon... well now they won't even ACCEPT REALLY, Empire East is worried about a customer who spends $70 to take $5.00 or $8.00 off. I was a GREAT customer as I would order lunch for our business, $75 twice a week... not anymore. No coupons for us... NO BUSINESS FOR YOU. Little by little, they will lose customers... sorry Empire..."

"Food is delicious, we never order anywhere else. They are expanding their menu and the Thai food is awesome. Just wish they would lower their prices a bit, it's getting to be TOO much. they do so much business, it's not necessary for it to be so pricey. I agree with the below comment, if you use their old coupons,they have a fit ! Come on Empire, why such a hard time for a $5.00 or $8.00 coupon when one is spending $60-$70!"

"Was in the mood for some Chicken Rice soup and remember about this place I used to order from many years ago, stopped in and while looking at their new menu was just astonished at their prices. $7.75 for lunch special when many places offer this for $5 to $5.50. Okay so maybe they offer a different quality of standard, or so I thought, I proceeded with my order of Chicken Rice which is overpriced also in a world where panda garden not to far away has it for $2.25 they are charging $3.30, but whatever they probably have bigger portion. I was wrong! There was about a quarter of the pint filled with rice, and about 3 small strings of chicken strips and the rest was broth, It was really disappointing. Reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is the crispy noodles were very good, probably better than any I tasted in a long time."

"They are expensive and the portion size got smaller I got a container with liquid that looked like soup it was horrible and I order two crab Rangoon and found one only the chicken fried rice didn’t look like it was done right. Anyway be careful what you order and make sure you check your bag"
